Bert,
Now don’t knock “Louie, Louie”… It was the first song I ever played using only Barr Chords.Andy, I for one am Very pleased to see you here.
I have enjoyed your YouTube videos and your comments on “That Other” Forum.
I also am a Cancer survivor of 21 years and my mantra when fighting that disease is “NEVER GIVE UP”.
Also if you hang around here long enough you’ll see that we respect all of the small quality builders…..But of course we will do everything we can to convert you to The SCGC tribe.
Welcome…I’m sure our “Keymaster will fill you in on the rules…he is a very good man.-

Tadol…Could not agree more !!!
I am only a mediocre player but I have become VERY aware of the voices of my Ramuda and the different songs they sing.
The ‘Tree” loves melody and The O.T. Is very special on the old Bessie Smith/Chicago Blues and the the Leon Redbone tunes
The 34 Zorro is of course front and center on Cajun and the F seems perfect for the Old America and The Band tunes.
Sometimes I almost sound good enough to go out in public…..Naaahhh!!!.-

When Dee and I attended the 40th party and the weekend concerts we were TOTALLY blow away by the Catfish Keith performance.
The only problem was that I probably set back my playing by trying for a week trying to play like him……I gave up and went back to my old bad habits.
he really is just plain flat fun to listen to and watch.I hope Tadol and ALL the other OLD “Senior Members” can come Home as well.

hassome,
Please understand it was Paul and Richard who made Zorro ride again.
I can fly a sailboat across oceans, but I can’t figure out a simple Forum password. Thanks Richard and Paul….you went above and beyond for me.
Spdster,
REALLY wonderful…..Believe me when I say ,I know how you feel.
Have you taken it out and tilted the back toward the sun ??
try It…You’ll like it.
I tend to play a bit more quietly on my OM than on my other guitars. Don’t know why …mayb the “Spirit” of The Tree ?I like the Logo…..But I guess in “the Old Days” they had to use braided guitar strings ??
Tadol, I also had posts removed that invited folks to come join us here and they were deleted and I was contacted by a Mod.
Maybe the Dealers for SCGC could spread the word that we are back.Max,
I remember well you and Alex working on ‘Wind’. He was trying to get me into recording….I may have been his only failure.
if I can figure out how to get his recording of ‘Orphan Girl”, which he did with my wife on vocals , and Alex playing his Vintage Southerner, on this page I will do so.
Sorry about your loss to the fires…we almost had the same experience with hurricane Irma last Sep.. We had damage but not catastrophic.
We contact Alex’s wife MaryAnn often and she was pleased to hear that the SCGCPF is back and that we all think of “Senior Member Alex64.Thanks for the reply.
would you be able to describe the difference in tone/volume to me.
Playing the SCGC Mid-tension is very easy for me as far as fingering is concerned.Matt,
It is the strap button on the treble side of the heel of the neck.
It’s so much fun when that happens….But be warned…That guitar will not be your last SCGC instrument.
Also Welcome to the Forum. You’ll find the folks here helpful and very knowledgeable about all things Santa Cruz -
