Congrats on the sale….any updates or pictures of your “Tree” OM ??
Y’all are killing me with your access to The Mothership and her Jedi…. Please ask Eric to play “take Five” by Brubeck. I have heard him do it and it is sublime.
Ordered the “Signed” CD 3 hours ago.
I can’t edit my post….I meant BOVEDA 49% Packs
KeyMaster… are you listening ???
I recently did a bit of looking into EVO and in has a hardness of 250. right between Nickel-silver at 200 and SST at 300.
I was thinking of having the OM “Tree” refretted with Gold EVO…just for cosmetic reasons mostly but also because I seem to be playing it quite a bit and I thought well Hell why not ??
I decided not to because I would want SCGC to do the job and I just can’t bring myself to ship it to Ca. and back to FL.
Any way I do have my 1993 Martin HD-28 that will need a refret sooner rather than latter…. I will do EVO Gold on that one.Friend Richard,
Dee and I would like to thank you for being you. When we were at your 40th event it was obvious how much the luthier/guitar player world loves and admires you….. Thanks you for your responses to our questions, and for the exceptional instruments that now call my corral home. I play one or two of the Ramuda every day and will ALWAYS remember at the end of our tour with you that our 1934 Zorro was at the last station with Gerard…. The picture of you and me with the guitar is a treasured image.
Fair Winds and Peace,
Zorro and Dee FoxDigDog…..Looks like Tadol is heading for the BIG TIME.
See his post on Shows and Video.Tadol… I am so glad you posted this video……In my wildest dreams I never thought I’d see you in a GOLD Lame’ Jacket !!!!
Or…upon closer inspection is it just the lights ???Realtor guy and Hair puller
Have Gerard look at you Guitars..he is a player, He’ll tell you straight. When He and Richard and Carolyn introduced me to my 34 Zorro Custom, Gerard said “Never sell this one, It’s a Keeper “.
I love Carolyn but she can’t tell…She’s a BASS PLAYER !!!- This reply was modified 6 years ago by Hank.
Bert,
Now don’t knock “Louie, Louie”… It was the first song I ever played using only Barr Chords.Andy, I for one am Very pleased to see you here.
I have enjoyed your YouTube videos and your comments on “That Other” Forum.
I also am a Cancer survivor of 21 years and my mantra when fighting that disease is “NEVER GIVE UP”.
Also if you hang around here long enough you’ll see that we respect all of the small quality builders…..But of course we will do everything we can to convert you to The SCGC tribe.
Welcome…I’m sure our “Keymaster will fill you in on the rules…he is a very good man.- This reply was modified 6 years ago by Hank.
Tadol…Could not agree more !!!
I am only a mediocre player but I have become VERY aware of the voices of my Ramuda and the different songs they sing.
The ‘Tree” loves melody and The O.T. Is very special on the old Bessie Smith/Chicago Blues and the the Leon Redbone tunes
The 34 Zorro is of course front and center on Cajun and the F seems perfect for the Old America and The Band tunes.
Sometimes I almost sound good enough to go out in public…..Naaahhh!!!.- This reply was modified 6 years ago by Hank.
When Dee and I attended the 40th party and the weekend concerts we were TOTALLY blow away by the Catfish Keith performance.
The only problem was that I probably set back my playing by trying for a week trying to play like him……I gave up and went back to my old bad habits.
he really is just plain flat fun to listen to and watch. -
