A Remuda are the horses that are cut out from the herd that will be rode that day.
Remember the TV show Rawhide ? Rowdy Yates (Clint Eastwood) was the wrangler and the Trail Boss would tell him to “Cutout the best for the Remuda…It’s going to be a rough day !”
I feel like my small but select Remuda are the best of the herd.sdelsoray
DO NOT miss an opportunity to visit the shop and do the tour. REALLY don’t miss the chance to “play in the park” with Matt and digdog and tadol. They are very talented players and their wisdom about all things SCGC is wonderfulYou know Matt I really would like to be able to present an accurate audio representation of how the SC guitars sound.
My playing is not so bad that I can’t make them sound as they deserve but I have yet to hear any Digital recording on any “Forum” that is a “True” sound of the instrument.
I remember having a discussion with you and the other “in the Park” players about the very special sound of Santa Cruz guitars.
I have listened to many, many A/B comparisons on both the old SCGC forum and the AGF forum…… even with good headphones the recordings are NEVER what the instruments, regardless of builder, really sound like in person. When played/listened to in person there is a “reality” that just does not seem to replicate via digital.
I am going to ask the studio where Dee has recorded her CDs and see if they can produce a real world representation of the sound that these guitars produce.
In lieu of that your just going to have to come visit and play them yourself.Spent the morning perusing the new website….Well done !!
The new site reinvigorated My feelings for SCGC……..Now I’ll open the cabinet and start playing.Brand name is easy…. SCGC SHINEOLA !!!
How did you do it Mate?
When we can post signatures and figure out how to upload pix I’ll reintroduce the SCGC Remuda that resides in the corral.
At the moment(and for the forseeable) future) I have 5 SCs.
One is for sale at Artisan Guitars. 4 at home and played everyday. -
