Please contact any of the “Old” forum members that you may know and ask them to rejoin us.
The 34 Zorro seems to be a bit more “Mellow” now that I have played it for some time.
I never found it to be “Clicky”….but I had lots of advice from Forum Members and Mr. Hoover and Bill Warmouth about bridge/fingerboard woods and the addition of the 45 “Bling”.
you might take a look at the “Ask SCGC” page and Richards comments on 45 inlay sound.
Matt, who describes the sound of SCGC models as well as anyone, might comment on it.March 13, 2019 at 9:33 pm in reply to: Welcome Back SCGP Forum! Finally :-D First Post Back with Voicing Question #1935A.C.
Our late Pal Alex Austin convinced me to buy a BlueChip pick….I have No pick percussion even when I play any of the Ramuda hard….i really like the BlueChips….on the 34 and on the OM and the others.
Thanks…I’m pretty happy with the group at the moment.March 13, 2019 at 5:36 pm in reply to: Welcome Back SCGP Forum! Finally :-D First Post Back with Voicing Question #1931A.C…..Glad to see you again…spread the word.
As you know I have a 34D and had a Braz/Sitka Da-1 that I recently sold.
Both were scalloped braced. The 34 has a larger sound hole and a Braz bridge/fingerboard and style 45 appointments.
The Da-1 was Style 42 and had a ebony bridge and fingerboard.
The Da-1 was loud and clear and well balanced. It was the guitar that introduced me to SCGC.
The 1934 Braz/Adi is LOUD, CLEAR and VERY Balanced with WONDERFUL SUSTAIN.
The use of CAPS is the best way I can describe the differences between the Two guitars….if you get my drift.
looking forward to your contributions to the Forum again.

I just love it when Y’All talk dirty !!!
Matt,
I have decided that to fight off “Old Age” finger stiffness I am going to begin learning more runs and playing more scales.
I want to get beyond the plateau that I have been at for awhile.
So based upon the above “integration learning” program I will be doing nothing but playing guitar and napping…..with the occasional break for consuming adult beverages……Matt,
I hope to refret the Martin HD-28 next year with EVO. i assume you did the refret yourself. I don’t have your luthier talents,so I’ll have to have it done by someone.
Do you have a guess of what a refret with EVO might cost? All of which says “practice and then sleep on it!” Naps: the secret to practice.
Matt, I’m 72..I’m good at naps…I’ll learn all of the runs….as soon as I wake up from my nap. After watching the video and reading the article, I have only one question.
Did you really have to post this above my “Which G Run” post? When Richard “Speaks Wood” I always have the feeling he has the DNA of the Ents from Lord Of The Rings.
Haasome,
I asked Richard this question about my 1934 D with style 45 appointments.
He answered me on this page…..He said it definitely did make a difference.
Maybe you can search this page for his answer.
Richard’s and Bill Warmouth’s and my conversation about this exact topic (before I ordered the 34) was the deciding factor in my getting the style 45 upgrade.
Just looked the topic is on page 2 ….under D45 appointments.-
