Oftentimes it is if the music moves me and if the performer seems engaged. If the performer is enjoying the experience and seems to be really “sharing” rather than just going through the motions I tend want to “share” my support and drop something into the tip jar or open guitar case.

Strangely enough I do find that 1/16″ does make a difference, particularly when playing finger style. I liken it to when you use a laptop that has a slightly more compact keyboard, it is useable but somehow not quite as fluid.
I appreciate your post, and I’m really glad you put it out there. I think whatever brings us comfort, solace, or joy during these difficult times is worth celebrating and sharing.
Thanks, looks like my guitar will be delayed due to the wildfires but I hope to see it in the next month or so. I got an email from Carolyn about 10 days ago with a status update, but, of course, living here in California myself I know that these fires have changed our lives dramatically. However long I have to wait for my first SCGC guitar I know it will be worth it!
Appreciate you thinking of us here in California. I reside in the San Joaquin Valley but the fires have not come too close to us yet.
The challenge of a disaster within a disaster ie. COVID-19 and fires is certainly making 2020 a trying year here on the West Coast.
Sorry to hear the sad news, thank you for the update. It’s incredibly sad to see the destruction and ongoing challenges that 2020 is bringing. I live in the San Joaquin Valley in CA, and we have bags packed just in case we need to evacuate as well.
Thanks, I will definitely try to post some pics when it arrives!
That’s a really interesting question, nice!
Thanks, yeah, it is so sad, my first SCGC guitar hasn’t even arrived yet, (tho I think it could be coming sometime this month) and I’m already having fantasies about what I want to do for my next SCGC order! 🙂
Thanks for weighing in, that is interesting.

BTW: I’m enjoying the opportunity to listen to the podcast and also watch it on YouTube. Thanks for the content.
Wow, just beautiful!
Thanks for the comment. I’m waiting on my custom 00 to be ready, but ‘ve already been thinking a Firefly may be something that interests me in the future.
