Wow, amazing story. My SCGC custom 00 is based on the dimensions of the Skye model and you’ll be astounded by the versatility. Congratulations!!!

March 18, 2022 at 5:40 pm in reply to: Santa Cruz Coffee Break #38 Zoomin’ with John Stubbings #7101Excellent podcast. John is so engaging and seemingly has an inexhaustible supply of wonderful stories. I loved his book and I’m looking forward to the next one.
Here’s my quick Wish List for future episodes:
Carolyn Sills and Gerard: I’d love to get their perspective not only about working at SCGC, but also what the last couple years have been like for them as professional musicians. I know Carolyn has been on, but I still think this could be interesting.
Someone from Calton Cases. Why a flight case is useful and how they do it.
A longtime SCGC luthier/employee just to hear what brought them to SCGC, why they continue, how Richard imparts his philosophy.
Richard Hoover… always and anytime!
Thanks for the great content!
Thanks for working so hard to keep us all safe. Much appreciated.
Thank you. Like everyone else I can get fixated on guitar specs, tonewoods, etc. but this was a great reminder of how sometimes the best thing about a guitar is the people it connects us with and how wonderful it is to express what is in the heart via 6 strings.
Congrats on the new guitar, what a beauty!
December 12, 2021 at 5:12 pm in reply to: Santa Cruz Special Offers….new Baritone Strings….new T-shirts #6607Love the new shirt with Richard, his dog and his truck, I ordered mine this past week!
At the risk of being just another voice in the crowd I would have to echo the forum and recommend SC light tension strings!
It all goes in to Richard’s notebook and then somehow translates/transforms into reality! 🙂
Welcome, the Walnut looks great!
October 30, 2021 at 4:35 pm in reply to: Santa Cruz Coffee Break #33 Zoomin’ with Jamie Stillway and Eric Skye #6471The new album is wonderful, thanks for the podcast episode.
Excellent interview that features some very fine guitars as well.
October 6, 2021 at 2:45 pm in reply to: Santa Cruz Coffee Break #32 Zoomin’ with Mike from Sylvan #6427Great podcast episode and love the photo, Mike looks so happy and Carolyn managed to sneak in there as well. I ordered my 00 via Sylvan and Mike was great to deal with, very professional but also friendly and courteous.
Sylvan is a must see for anyone passing through the Santa Cruz area.
Thank you for the book, arrived yesterday. Can’t wait to start reading it!
That sounds very much like I book I would be interested in reading. Hope I’m first.
