Merry Christmas
Very nice.. Would love a 029 BURST.
That is a gem of an Eastman arch top Bert. I picked up a Eastman TV49 varnish after watching the Elvis returns TV Special awhile back on PBS . The ES175 with single Seth Lover humbucker in neck position just nails that hot hollow body arch top tone.

“Inner Mounting Flame “… Was the name of a favorite John Mc Laughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra LP IN THE EARLY 70’s.. Oil them fretboards while your at it.
Yes and yes, they call it muscle memory and they are that good. New strings work magic on rekindling the inner mounting flame for your Santa Cruz.

November 29, 2020 at 3:14 am in reply to: Question on Tapered Braced Style Guitars, Deep Body F Anyone? #5000Have you had the chance to play any or many Gibson SJ200 Sitka/ Maple? . It sounds like that might be the sonic signature your describing . Powerful warm ,round and clear with plenty volume and punch Even and controlled across the spectrum .. Not quite boomy, aka Martin D18 or D35, but full and focused.. Not as overtone rich as a D/PW spruce/rosewood. To me the SCGC F with German /Maple has a lot of that quality that my Gibson SJ 200 has .

I’d like to read that one . Appreciate the offer.
I’m fairly certain I’ve seen a number of Zircote SCGC’s builds in the not so distant past .Not many. Richard may have a source for it but just does not receive many requests for custom builds . Give the shop a call.
Tunnel 13 Redwood tops I’ve sampled are beyond simple description . Overtone rich and warm is my short description. The one that floored me and had me thinking second mortgage was a OM tunnel 13 and either Brazilian or Madagascar RW. Dalbergia for sure would be my choice. Maybe Zorro will chime in with some thoughts
As I understand the end pin has a very ,very small drop of yellow glue touched to one side of pin . LIKELY INSERTED AND SPUN JUST A TOUCH ? Like index stated, the big house SCGC, would be the best source for answer. 831 425 0999
Eric’s talent on guitar is apparent as his joy and sense of humor discussing the nerdy ,geeky “Upper hemisphere”
Anothger enjoyable morning wake up listen .
Thanks to you all.
From reading your two posts , the catch and release journey you’ve been on , suggests that your better off staying with the larger body guitars, OM grand, F,FS Dreadnought.. I ‘ve been chasing my tail for years trying to find that smaller size with a Dreadnought presence. No such luck for me.
H13’s get you really close!!! OM Grand just might be the one?
Eric Skye can make an ukulele sound lush and big !!!!!
Best of luck on your search !
