Hank I think barber is referring to Frank Beard resophonic guitar builder and his instrument wax
Now as far as your need for your gray beard needs some good old bacon fat or white lard might help bring your growth to a nice shinny smooth glistening. Ha ha

Of the 3 sets of SCGC lite strings I’ve used non have had the black spot issue . They sure do last a long time with great tone . The other long lasting strings I use aside from elixir are Martin retro monel that Hank mentioned .

March 20, 2022 at 7:00 pm in reply to: Santa Cruz Coffee Break #38 Zoomin’ with John Stubbings #7108Wonderful engaging podcast ! John hit the nail on the head about GAS, Learned some new tricks for slipping in a few more acoustics haha. I received The Devils In It. From some friends during a very rough time earlier in the year and what a pleasant and enjoyable read it was. A very needed distraction. John even signed a personal note in the book for me.
I could listen for hours about his travels and journey while writing the book. Should you read the book first or see the movie first. MR Stubbings is so animated and joyful to watch and listen too. -
