This is good news for the musical instruments builders and players. Exemptions for finished instruments but still regulates the raw sourcing. A win win.
Maybe a new preferred dealer picking up the line like Carter Music? That would be a good move for SCGC.
Strong imagery. Would for a super LPcover.
August 3, 2019 at 2:49 pm in reply to: Santa Cruz Coffee Break Lunch with Richard Hoover #2 Richard in Nashville #2720Very enjoyable .. Yes there was a dog. Oil rubbed neck finishes would be an interesting follow up. Varnish does seem to cure very slowly and feels like it never quite gets to the dry ,fast feel of Santa Cruz’s nitro finish.. Talc. Very interesting.
Definitely off into the either. Sometimes it works. For Jerry most frequently it did.

Mixolodian chromatic and recovering with grace is a good description. I’ve been following some of the current Dead tour post’s. And have watched and listened to JM doing his take /solos on classic tunes.. At the beginning it was kind’ve Well,,,,, not quite JG feel, more blues guitar riffing. But as time has passed JM has had some brilliant moments. The whole band seemed to meld into it’s zone quite sweetly. Eye’s of the World Is one of the solid examples. I’ll try to locate that clip and post

Stevie Winwood just recently added a newer take on the tune at his site//YouTube maybe.. D. Am D , Am C ,G Am
Got to love that Lyle Lovett KACHANG SOUND. Capos are a great alternative for tone/voicing.
Traffic’s John Barleycorn capo’d at 7th fret is another iconic acoustic tune.

As always listening to the Maestro Richard Hoover is for me akin to the first few times listening to Dr Seuss tell his engaging tales of many new and enchanting characters. PURE JOY. A smile is upon my mug
Thank You Richard,Richard and Tadol. Now to find my Webster’s definition , Inculcate?
Just pick your favorite color blue And watch the magic begin.
Price’s increasing is’nt anything out of the ordinary. Over the last 15 years SCGC prices have been keeping with the times at about 10% yearly plus or minus a few %. Quality has increased as well as the raw materials to build such fine instruments . Cost of doing business with all of it’s associated liabilities seems to be reflected across the boards in most manufacturing circles. As I’ve read and understood Santa Cruz Guitars has been primarily a small custom shop builder from day one. Something like 80% custom and balance in stock models. To accommodate us finicky buyers SCGC has offered one of the finest customer service peeps in the show. And where else do you get to call and talk with the MAN himself and his right and left arm associates ?? The Wheel keeps turning and you cant slow down you can’t let go and you cant hold on.
Yep call your favorite dealer and lay that money down
