Thank you Indexless….as usual.
Hide from the wind…run from the water.
I wish we could send Y’all some of our rainy season
I have gone outside tonight and played all my instruments……with respect for Richard Hoover and ALL of you in California……Please do the same for us…..The storm track of the current TD is the same as Irma……”It Is What It Is “.
I have been tracking storms for 40 years…. I have been at sea through four Cat 3s and 2 cat 4s on a boat ,and 3 cat 4s here at home.
Life is always an adventure….there are NO guarantees ….
But the gods will always protect those who are creators of music

jimson……got your info…..will send out via snail mail tomorrow…….enjoy.
Crickets ?…….OK…. I’ll hold on to it until it’s requested……if not I’ll put it in the Dinosaur print collection.
LukeF…great question…. My 1993 martin HD-28 is in need of a re-fret and I am strongly considering Gold EVO wire….. I look forward to Maestro Hoovers answer.
Having posted pictures of the 1934 Zorro on the ‘It’s all about the wood” page…in honor of its’ upcoming 4th birthday…. I really would like to know Richard’s thoughts on the whole “opening Up” of a guitar made from materials of that caliber .
if the woods used on the 1934 models are very old to begin with ( both B&S and Top ) and it sounds so very good when delivered to a player then how much more “Opening Up ” really occurs ?
I do believe that after almost 4 years of playing the instrument that I “hear” a difference in the voice….but is that just my learning the sound that was always there or does it actually mature further ?
I keep the guitar in a climate controlled cabinet and the humidity is always between 40-50 %.
I understand that instrument made of much younger woods may dry out and Open Up…..but very old woods ??
I rarely disagree with Tad ….but, once you have ordered a custom build from SCGC you NEVER stop imagining the specs of another model that you can’t live without.
Looking forward to your report on your soon to be delivered SC?
Don’t much care for that …….but that’s just me.
I would like to hear Richard’s thoughts on how the binding material affects the final voice of a guitar.
Does he change anything if the binding material is an exotic wood versus a MOP or Paua or versus Iveroid ?
Aw Shucks…. Thanks for the nice words Y’all.
When I sale over the Horizon Dee can do what ever she wants with the guitars………But remember she was an O.R./Trauma Nurse for 30 years and she is tough as nails…….Also she does know what I paid for them…..No,really she does.
