Mr. Paul….Glad you found us….we are a small but select (LOL) group.
thanks for the info on the Nomad product.
Do you play any SCs?
My Swiss Army knife( that I have had for 50 + years) has a small leather punch/blade…..works perfectly.
May 1, 2022 at 11:29 pm in reply to: Santa Cruz Coffee Break #42 Zooming’ with Richard Hoover Guitar Care #7277Thanks…There was A LOT MORE to that pod cast than just talking about Wax……Fun.
Derek,
I don’t have any sugestions re: SCGC wax…other than i apply a very light amount ONCE a year to the Ramuda and a can has lasted me 6 years.
BUT……I do have a grey beard and mustache and please tell me more about the Beard wax you gave Richard.
Day late, sorry……I will never be able to play like this. Nor will most of us. But it may be the finest solo guitar recording ever.

Don’t know how I got Bruce……John it is.
Paul…..That is going to be super.
Is this “The Last ONE” ???
Tad, I really love the little Vandyke at the body end of the fingerboard at the soundhole. Was that standard on the FTCs of the time?

Danny,
I bought mine from the shop a couple of years ago…. at that time I think the inventory was slim.
I also love the poster…..But be aware whaile the poster is reasonably priced ( or Was) I spent $400 framing it . YIKES
Paul,
I have not had the corroison spots on my SCGC String but I DO on the Elixer Nanoweb Cuctom Lights I use on the SCGC F.
I use the SCGC lites on all the guitars excepting the 12 er and the 2 Dreads. The dreads get SCGC Mids., although Digdog has suggested I try the Martin Vintage (?) on my Martin.
I have put the SCGC DADGADS lites on the new 000 and am in awe of the tone. The 000 came with SC Lites and it sounded fantastic but as Carolyn sent me several set of the DADGAD for a birthday present , I changed out a week ago to the DADGAD Lites. The main difference is “Feel”…. The DADGADS “Feel” a bit Fuller. I have not noticed any spots yet.
I also get my SC strings direct from the shop.
I have about 10 sets of SC strings now and I keep them in a drawer of the Guitar cabinet in the sealed bags that SC mails them to me.
Living in S.W. Florida the house is usually AC running and 50% humidity.
The Guru of SCGC F models contiues to collect what I think is the largest collection of F models on the planet.
That is a great get Tad…..Congrats. No one does Maple better than Richard and the Crew of Santa Cruz.
Digdog is a wonderful source of whats out there in the guitar world.Enjoy Danny. It’s Gorgeous.
Good get Danny…Karma will out.
