Never mind……just noticed the tittle.
Great idea…but there are some who don’t live in Ca. that would love to be a part of that…..Via Zoom ?
I agree…mostly….with the comments about the OMs being the best of the SCGC lineup.
But I’ve been spending a lot of time with the H-13 and the 000 of late…..Certainly equal to my ear.
Well said Big Mon.
I wonder if others are as questioning?
But…..I did enjoy the photos that SCGC and other builders supplied for their ads.
Big Mon,
I recieved the FJ 50th today and knowing the kind soul you are ,I was wondering if you thought the 18 pages of images might have best been displayed in a different publication rather than in a historic 50th anniversary edition of ” A GUITAR ” publication ???
Awaiting Mine.
When you get this beautiful piece of acoustic wood…..you MUST post a recording.
That is just a stunning set of Braz……What is the top wood ? Pictures ?
Will you be playing at “Middle Earth Fairs” with that headstock ?
Beautiful voice to be.

I used to drive over MT. Tam and would camp on the beaches of Stinson and Bolinas….all the while refering to “The Whole Earth Catalog” in my packback as to what mollusks were edible and obtainable at low tide….. Thanks to will’s dad.
I see wonderful things ahead for SCGC,,,,,,,But I’ll always remember Carolyn’s contibution to my karma of obtaining some of the Stratavarius of guitars.
Richard Hoover… I thank you every night when I saddle up one of the Ramuda and enter the S.O.C. that your instuments create ……
Thanks for filling us in Will…..best of luck……You have a wonderful opportunity in front of you.
Glad you let us know it arrived safe.
Recording soon ??? of all your SCs.
Paul,
If this Beautiful insrtument is indeed the final Custon Build , then I would say you are “Going Out On Top “……..I know it will sound as wonderful as it looks.
Congrats on a true heritage guitar…….Play on Mate.
Great photo doc.of your amazing build . I’m excited for you.
Will,
I look forward to a great relationship with you……You were kind enough to extend my thanks personaly to all who were involved with the 000… I appreciate your extra efforts in doing so….. But I don’t think you can sing like Miss C.
To say that I am happy for Miss Carolyn would be a bittersweet statement.
To say that I am sad for Richard Hoover & Santa Cruz Guitar Company would be a true statement.
Carolyn Sills has been THE one constant in my beautiful relationship with SCGC…..She has been my guide, my advisor, my translator to my wants and questions to Richard , and a FRIEND.
She has embraced my Dee’s vocal performances as her own and Dee and I always wanted to be on stage with Carolyn for a “Patsy Cline” shootout. Carolyn always comments on Dee’s performances in a loving and positive way…..for that alone she is loved.
The design of the recent Celtic 000 was the result of hours of phone conversations between the two of us.
When the guitar was finished she said that there was only one word for it ….Elegent……
When we first met in person during the 40th Anniversary she embraced both Dee & I and spent hours with us and was a huge part of the presentation of the Zorro 1934 D….along with her partner Gerard. She had so hectic a schedule during that weekend but yet she made sure that we were made to feel a part of the Santa Cruz family.
Carolyn has been the Hot Hide Glue and the exotic tone wood and the “Soundboard” for all things SC.
Miss C….Please don’t forget Dee and Me……We will ALWAYS think of you.
Fair Winds,
Hank & Dianna Fox
