My ex wife was not a fan of my guitar playing.

One day I told her, “ I was playing before we got together. I will continue after you’re gone.”

i don’t miss her at all.

At Sylvan in January, I payed an F Cutaway EIR with Redwood top and Koa binding at Sylvan. Stunning volume and tone. When they get it right, it is the sonic equal of a Traugott.

Ten years ago SCGC presented Scott Law and Bill Nershi at the Big Basin Winery. There were at least a dozen different guitars they played that night. It was magical in every possible musical way.

          the Winery currently evacuated.

          I hope it can survive,

Bill Coulter, guitarist, teacher, and long time Cruz player lost his home in the fire.

The challenge I had with mine was the small body and shorter scale. My right wrist angle was unforgiving. I tried many different ways of holding the guitar to fix my problem but never could. My reach from tip to fingertip is 72 inches.

Otherwise, I loved the sound and set up of my FF.

A good drummer helps, butI still get ahead and behind at times.

Nate in Washington is the winner.

                      we helped raise $30,000.

my outlook is other people win and other people die in plane crashes. I’m happy to be a loser.

I have a rhythm/tempo/speed that always runs a bit hot and fast. I have to concentrate to slow things down. I’ve listened to recordings where the end is much faster than the beginning.

I forgot that I knew Fisher’s Hornpipe. It fell right n my mandolin without much trouble. Monroe’s Hornpipe is easier on Mando than guitar for me. Big Mon and Gold Rush are solid on guitar but still being worked out on Mandolin and fiddle.
