I thought you’d add the chords! 😉
Maple is so easy to make look good but sound “bleh” – SCGC seems to do maple very well, and I seem to be drawn to their maple guitars far too easily –
I just kinda realized that its been so long since I played a Taylor (other than in crowded halls at shows) that I really can’t say anything one way or another, other than I really have no interest in making an effort to try them –
and hand grenades, too –

Standard deep socket with ¼” drive should be fine – avoid sockets designed for larger drives, and sockets designed for impact as they tend to have thicker, heavier sides.
Sets it high ? Hell, I’d say he picks it up and moves it to a separate reality – just fantastic!!
Born to Run – Emmy Lou Harris
Honky Tonk Side of Town – Randy Travis
amd 3 or 4 originals by The Muted Jewel Tones, local girls that we’re backing up for a show at The Uptown this weekend-
and no, thats not mine (unfortunately) – but soon! – (soon?) – yes, soon!
And those are the videos that will make my wife come running back to the living room –
Cool video! I plan to go try those out – And that may be the ultimate (non-violent) video to make my wife leave the room and go watch TV somewhere else! 😉
It would be great to do an informal video just going over everything in the booth, and discussing all things new and changing at SCGC, just for us fans who can’t actually make it NAMM (and would probably only go to see the SCGC booth anyway -)
Yes, you have to pay for a special membership in order to list things for sale on AGF – it would be nice if our for sale section had more action, but it takes a while to build that up. I have to list a couple things in the near future, so I will be adding a couple new ads – unfortunately, I’m not really in a position to buy alot right now –
Please post a post meet-up report! Saw a bit on AGF, but a more detailed follow-up would be good reading –
I may have gone off a bit – but the situation seemed a bit extreme. If all of us expected that same heightened need of perfection in all things, and treated each other in that way, the world would come to a grinding (and very unhappy) halt. Its actually why I worry about listing a couple of my guitars for sale – I’ve played them, they show that, and they are still great instruments. But there is this extreme belief that anything that isn’t absolutely perfect has lost a great deal of its value.
I’m really different – I’ve bought more than a few Santa Cruz guitars that were in need of work. Neck resets, finish repair, refrets – Its all good by me if the instrument is one I want. And I have no problem with these, because I know the guitar was built with good wood, proven techniques, and is ultimately repairable and preservable. I don’t go for a lot of cosmetic repairs – not really important to me,
I even bought a Klepper guitar he called “Wabi Sabi” – its a concept that things that are imperfect can be more beautiful than things that are “perfect” – more to it than that, but I just loved the guitar.
Oh well – I’ve learned that my take on things isn’t always the norm – but I’ve also learned that the “norm” is rarely right –
What? No pics? And I can’t find it on their site, but it could be an iPad problem –
And I’m happy to encourage anyone who wants to buy more Santa Cruz’s!!
😉
It will be interesting to see –
I just had a brief vacation in Italy, and while at the Cremona Music Festival ran into the Madinter booth, a spanish company, which had brought some extremely nice, very well quarter sawn sets of Madagascar rosewood to the show. The price was quite reasonable (for the quality) and it did cost me about $100 for paperwork and shipping, but they sent me 3 sets and it went right thru US customs without a hitch. Well, a little hitch – they didn’t fill out all the paperwork quite right, so I got a call from Customs and I had to help them get a few lines filled in and then, it was no hitch – delivered to me a few days later. But now –
