Thats awesome! I can’t imagine how wonderful it would be to perform with one of my children – get her her own mic!
Jam 400 is pretty nice – just a bit of a lug carry around –
I have been working hard on my music room – it has a solid masonry wall facing south, and poor ventilation, so it gets pretty uncomfortable in the summer evenings. But I ordered and installed a Mr Cool mini-split, and now I have cool or heat, as needed! All it took was coring a 3.5″ hole through 13″ of brick and concrete filled CMUs – But its all OK when you only have to look back at it –

Need to set up for practice tonite –
Musta been my evil twin –
I’m IN!

I’d play it that way for a while – it changes the way the guitar hangs, it’s center of gravity so-to-speak. You can always add a strap button later. I mean, it looks like you’ve already got it –
You might also try a “Neck-Up” – it’s another really nice way to hold the guitar, but it only works when you’re seated –

Santa Cruz does maple so incredibly well, yet (it seems) so incredibly infrequently – and they do get so much better with age!
Yeah – but when cost is no object, I’ll still put it into the guitar instead of the pickup –
Yes – yes it would –

Did you do any recordings to hear how that sounds to an audience? Gotta remember, the FTC is not designed to provide optimal sound for the player –
Wow – that’s a very beautiful FTC! I would love to hear some other players on those guitars – I could listen to Catfish for hours, but his style is so unique and specific, I don’t think it really highlights the capabilities of the Firefly or the FTC –
I am firmly in the UltraTonic camp – James May has designed a neat little circuit that, combined with an extra output disc, gets the best possible feedback-free and well-balanced output I’ve heard. When I heard what it was able to do with my Santa Cruz baritone, I decided it was the only way to go. It has the advantage of no battery, easily tuned for the guitar its installed in, a soundhole volume control that doesn’t modify the tone, and offers a simple retrofit kit if you already have a K&K installed. I recommend it highly –
