I like Lodi – and Louie Louie got me a date or 2 in the day (perhaps), I agree that different guitars provide different inspiration. Having a single favorite guitar is fine, but for me variety is appreciated.

Hi Luke,

Yes, I see “just shipped”, with the most recent being “Just Shipped Wed Dec 20th: Custom H/13 Cocobolo 42-style”.

However, there is no “Available Guitars” option like the old site used to have. The “just shipped” seems to be a sampling of some guitars that SCGC has shipped in the past. I’m looking for a listing of guitars that are available and held in inventory by the of the SCGC Dealer network.

I’ve had great luck with D’addario EXP-16s on my SCGC OM, EIR/German. They sound & feel good for my taste, and they last a long time. I like SCGC lights too and use them on my H-13, but I don’t like them as much on my OM.

I think it is used generically. When I purchased an OM with a Euro top last year I emailed Carolyn to ask and she checked with the shop. They indicated it was German. Perhaps there are times when they can fine tune the designation and other times when they can’t. I believe it is all the same species – Picea abies.

SCGC has completed working on their new upgraded web site and now has it posted and running live. It’s definitely an improvement over the old site with more eye candy, videos and useful information.
