Great Drummer and a gentleman…..that’s about as good an epitaph as one could hope for.
Years ago I sold a Boston Whaler to Cliff Williams of AC/DC…. He had a home on the Caloosahatchee River in Ft. Myers. I always delivered the boats I sold and spent a day getting the new owner comfortable with the vessel and the local waters. When I landed at his Dock I saw a large gazebo upslope with folks setting at a summer table.
I tied off the boat and walked up the hill and Cliff Williams met me and introduced me to his mother, wife and children.
They were having High Tea…… I was a bit taken aback by the VERY civilized scene…… Then Cliff asked if I would like to see his studio and guitar collection,………That’s a story for another day…but it is a great story!

Had you listened to any audio of the guitar before you purchased ?
Damn It Daniel…… I told Dee that If we could get you to come to Florida and join us as THE MANDO PLAYER , I would play more in public and attend at least 1 open Mic night a week and we three could appear as the FairWinds Trio…………I’m crushed that you have returned to the guitar……….By the way we would also like to find a fiddle and Harmonica player. Oh, how she wishes.
But I must agree that playing to your own inner soul is magic at times.

By the way Matt’s demo is using SCGC Mid-Tension…..We both agreed that SCGC Lites would be better……He changed to lites before shipping to me….We were right.
Enjoyed it also Mike….You’ve got a very nice Travis picking thing going on.
I look forward to doing it again. I would like to try and “gather” the Fl. SCGC owners for a “Southern” Session.

Inlay of “Celtic braid ” in MOP on blank fretboard/body joint….no frets.
In the days of the Celtic Sailors the Sailor would “Braid” his hair into a bracelet and give it to his Lady and tell her “If I don’t return you will always have a part of me to remember how I love you”.
So I will leave this one to those I love.
