March 4, 2022 at 8:48 pm in reply to: Trying to understand the differences between the different F models #7000Paulrich,
I’ll wait until Tadol comments as he is “THE F GURU”, But I have an FTC and an F. Both Cutaways and both wonderful instruments. Both are very “Volumetric” .Strong , clear and excellent note seperation.
My F is over 20 years old and has a strong Bass (think Martin) and bright trebles….. I string it with Elixer Custom Lites and it has a Jazzy voice.
The FTC is a very different instrument…..I’ve had it for awhile now and I’m still learning to make it sing…..but it is “Full Voiced” because of the carved back.
Let’s wait to hear from Tadol……
This album was one of the great influences on me…..Every song is wonderful.
Never mind Y’all….. file is too big….I’ll figure it out.
Daniel, I agree 100%……Maybe the best 1&2 albums ever released by a musical group…..Certainly of the “Folk Rock” era. I wore them out. They set the rhythm of my life for 69 thru the mid 70s.
Then I took my wife Dee to a CSN&Y concert in St. Petersburg , Florida on our first date in 86… She had never heard them. That’s a whole nother story.
Then when we moved aboard our sailboat for 5 years and in addition to every Buffet CD I bought the reissued CD of CSN&Y. Played “Southern Cross” while consumeing lots of Down Island rum .

If I still had a hide strecher I could make some dandy guitar straps.
I just showed this to my wife….She asked “Is Tad Still married ?
I told her you have more at your “Studio”…….She just shook her head.
I, on the other hand am supremely envious……
If there was ever a man who deserved such a beautiful guitar it’s you Chris. I hope you can put all that you have expeienced in the last year into this instrument and make it’s voice available to us.
Play on.
