posting pictures is really easy on the Santa Cruz Guitar Players Forum as well,……click the last Icon in the editing bar and watch the magic happen. Matt I’m sorry we’re not as cool as TDPRI, have you ever tried to post images on The Gear Page, it took them 10 years to get it right and they are still (as we are) working on it every day, we are a small but mighty force

Welcome John,
Great video, thanks for being a part
Sweet, thanks for the tip!
Hi Michael,
Here’s the WORD from SCGC ”
We do put some wood glue on the shaft of the end pin before installing it into the tail block, yes. It can be removed with pliers, and we cover the pin with a wypall to protect it when removing. We do recommend a professional performing this task if someone has not done it before.
Welcome Michael,
Thanks for joining, let’s see what the word is from the big house.
It’s the platform, which post would you like deleated?
Thanks Matt, it’s a ZOOM event with special guests
HiFiVic,
Since SCGC is a custom shop, I’d suggest you call and get in touch with Richard and see what he has to say, there are also some great pod casts (if I do say so myself) with Richard and also a new one with Eric where he discusses his guitar and the build process.
There is nothing small or boxy with a 00 Skye, his guitar is huge sounding
Only 2 times Neil? Come on, give the rest of us a chance….wonderful playing
Welcome Neil! Thanks for a great uplifting story, welcome to the forum!
Welcome HiFiVic!
I’m sure you’ll get some opinions and answers here. Thanks for joining the conversation
Mandolin Cafe is great for acoustics, I’ve gotten some good electric deals there as well, support them with 2% of the sale, Scott is a great guy.
The Gear Page if you stand the attitude and the heat.
Reverb for high end stuff, almost 8-10 % fees right now, no paypal payout, you get Reverb bucks and then they go to your account
Ebay is great if you have a good price on things and give an accurate description.
Facebook market place is pretty good as well as Craiglist if you want to sort out the scammers
It’s a crazy world out there right now, honest descriptions and quick shipping are very important. and oh yea….partscasters are just about 25% of what you have in them.
my .02
Hank, this is from Richard, no final word yet and I’ll put it up when he hears back,
I have a call into tech colleagues at Stew Mac and GHS to find out if Gorgomyte has any downsides or interactions with SCGC finish or materials. I trust Stew Mac’s vetting standards so that’s an implied recommendation for general use of Gorgomyte, but not necessarily an ok for contact with nitro cellulose lacquer. In the meantime, here’s a link for ratings of the top 10 fret polishing products.
