Hey Luke,
it’s a great interview, I’ve interviewed Richard 25 times, the latest interview with him told me things I’ve never heard before, a true national treasure. Look for a new on from him in a couple of weeks. Thanks for letting us know
Mic is by far the best choice. That and a great room, hard to go wrong

Darren joined Keith on stage for the Kumumba show, a great picker but a level-up bass player. There is so much talent in SCGC.
this is pretty deep in the science weeds, we’d have to take the same guitar and measure it’s sonic quality with and without the pickup. I would put good money on the fact that there is no difference. You might also look at what Lloyd Baggs has to say on this, he’s my go to pickup genius
it’s so cool that they show this, stay tuned for some great concert footage.
Forum Members PLEASE take note. This is Paul from the shop, he’s our direct contact, this is amazing service!
With a lot of that Bakersfield Magic

It’s a crazy theory of mine, I’m not sure it’s based in science. If you can wear a hole in the top, it’s a badge of honor, here’s a shot of mine, no pick guard and I use a flat pick and thumb pick

I like a top without a pick guard, it’s crazy but I think it lets the top vibrate more, maybe a silly thought but I go with it..
No I haven’t seen a photo come through, and I’m excited to post one, I bet it’s beautiful
Stay tuned 🙂 There is a benefit on June 22 at the Kumumba, a few tickets still around and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History is doing a BIG show on SCGC, opening about the 20th of June I believe. more details to follow
