So Daniel…is the 2 channels but one only one tone stack? Could be a tweed deluxe, are the volume controls interactive? Too cool
Hey Willie,
Welcome back, hope you enjoy the forum. The OM Grand is a deep body, moving to a 12 fret would require a rebracing (I think) and moving the bridge, that being said, I LOVE 12 fret’s, it might make a ripping guitar. I think you’d be best to call the shop, if possible they could spec it out for you
Nice Daniel, I have a vintage Amp j12 that is my main amp, it needs caps for the tremolo (which is heavenly) but after it warms up, it’s in a class by itself
You have permission! I didn’t say that the top would probably need to be rebraced, go play some short scales, different woods, then order your dream guitar, fun idea, most likely not worth the time or the coin.
Greetings,
It’s not as easy as a bolt on Fender, I would suspect the bridge would need moving along with a new neck, it sounds pretty expensive and time consuming to me, I’d suggest you look for a short scale acoustic and play one for a while before making that kind of a jump.
Thanks again!
I’m using Apple headphones, Tad is using a USB mic, I’m moving to a USB
Sounds like some congrats are in order Matt!
Here’s the funny part, I talked with Mike this morning and 2 hours after I left a nice man from Minnesota bought it. I knew that one wouldn’t last
Welcome
thanks for the question. How is your guitar set up. The SCGC low tensions are a favorite here but EJ16’s work for me as well.

“The Santa Cruz Mountains was hit by a record setting deluge a couple of decades back.
Majestic Ancient Sunken Redwoods we’re dislodged, carried down the raging San Lorenzo River and into the sea to be eventually beached by the pounding surf onto the Boardwalk’s Playa.
The edge of the tree pictured has ancient burn scars and annual rings suggesting it was a over millennia old when it fell.I’ve been negotiating with a colorful local woodsman for years to get him to cut loose with this treasure. Right before Christmas he dropped by with these samples which may yield 5 full sized tops and maybe 6 FireFly or parlor side sets.
After air drying for more than 20 years, we’ll be taking orders for their guitar builds after a few weeks of our climate controlled acclimation process.A real Christmas gift!
