Good comments.
I’d forgotten the fun of changing slothead strings, and the neck size was never an issue but that was 20yrs ago…these old hands/shoulders are not what they used to be.
Still interested in a d12, but willing to venture other options. 12 frets a must, like to add a mahogany body (already have a rosewood dred & hog om).
I don’t recall a SC 12 fret dreadnaught besides the D12–like the idea of the shallower body; am I missing a model?

Glad for you.
Hope you post your thoughts after spending time with the om….I find most of my time is now spent on my om versus my dreadnaught these days.
“They are great!”
Just what I expected…hahahahaaa.
Thanks, I needed that!

I wrote the seller and it really sounds like a great guitar at a really good price—and local is a big plus too. I’m surprised it has lasted a day…if I wanted an om, well you know the rest.
Did you get to see/play it yet?
Play and pay, be on your way!
Hope it works out for you. Let us know…my curious mind needs resolution.
Now, if I could find a D12 in that condition/price range it would be an awesome day.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>I hear ‘ya.

I sent an email too…but won’t step on your toes. I’m looking for a d12, but…It looks like a standard om rosewood–crummy pics. I asked about condition too….at that price though. Might be a good one.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Goodry, I’d be driving to Dallas right now if I wanted another om. I better quit thinking/looking at that ad b4 I get in trouble.

Let us know how it goes.old post, but saw an OM on Dallas Craigslist today…$2200…just in case you (or anyone in the area is still looking)

*Ps–I’m looking for a D12 at that kinda price myself.
What Bert said!
Yes, thanks Tad and Rich—> and this time thanks to Richard. Love listening to him talk.
Goodry, I hope you find the “one”…heard a lot of good about the Furch guitars.
I’ve been searching off and on for years…finally found some good-uns, but always wanting one more….best wishes!
ps—I had/owned an om/pw, and let it go. OH, the tone!–still kicking myself.
Awesomely cool.
Congrats on another good find, Tadol.
You have a 6th, 7th or even 9th sense for finding Santa Cruz guitar deals.
Now, if I can find a bargain D-12….close enough to drive to would be a plus.
Again, way cool!
Nate
Hey Goodry,
I saw you are in TX—->>>
This is not my guitar, just been cruising the web everyday myself looking for a great deal on a D-12 with not much luck except for really high priced examples that are over 1,000 miles away.
Good luck on your search!
Nate in TX
This om/pw just popped up on CL in Austin.
2004 Santa Cruz OM-PW (pre-war) in excellent+ condition. This Orchestra model guitar has 16 years of maturity and is absolutely immaculate in every way with little to no signs of wear (1 small mark on the bottom neck binding at the 5th fret) . The top is Sitka spruce, with back and sides Indian rosewood. Case included. $3200.

Just want to say thank-you for the pod cast.
It was entertaining and informative.
Nice to see faces and hear voices connected to the SCGC family again.
Again thanks!

Hi there Hotmagpeye!
I’m interested in a D12, and saw your post.
Don’t have any SCGC’s you mention, but if you were to sell, let me know.
