Well… The recent Hurricane and conversations with SCGC have caused me to set a different course regarding a 12er .

SCGC is well over a year out on delivery of a custom build…..I’m 76 now I would be almost 78 when I would recieve a ordered now build.

The devistation caused to my hometown and surrounding areas will take years to rebuild and it will be much different than the “Old Florida” that I loved so much.

Soooo… I have decided to enjoy my Taylor K62ce that I bought from Chris ( it really is a spectacular instrument ) and search for the rare SCGC 12er in the preowned market. If there are some out there ,with a wood combo I like I would be interested in ,I would make a fair offer.

If anyone has one and is interested in selling or trading let me know.

Wonderful…while the rabbit hole of recording has proven too much for me I’m glad that Richard Newman and Eric have provided us with such wonderful sound reproduction of Eric’s superb playing style.

After perusing some of the inputs to my search for a 12 string, I am leaning tword the following…

          A HT-13 Hog/ Redwood……Thoughts ??

No, Friend Daniel not The Mando…..I would try to learn the fiddle before I would enter the Rabbit Hole that is the dreaded Mando .

As to models I’m contemplating… I think either the H or OMG. If R.H. thinks those models would be stong enough over the long haul .

            B/S & Top woods are still a mystery……

As in most things guitar related I tend to like Chris’s thoughts……but I seek further input ( in writing) of not only “The Players In The Park” but also of the other members of the Forum who may have such interest. The i will ask “The Maestro” his ideas for such a critter.

Also I’m really wanting to compare a SCGC 12er to My Taylor K62ce all Koa. I have strung it with the SCGC 12 string set….. As I told Chris and Big Mon I think it may be the most comfortable neck I have ever played. It is the size Taylor calls Grand Audotorium . Maybe SCs OMG ? The sound with the SC strings is Fantastic and very clear. I’m not looking to replace it.

A Note : the recent storm that hit my backyard destroyed some of the most beautiful islands in this country. Until the rebuilding is well along they will be off limits and that is going to take a good bit of time.

So exploring a 12 string build will keep me from buying more camera equipment…..

Like most medical folks Larry shows a whole lot of empathy…both for people and for guitar players.

The need to understand the patients needs is ultimitly important in P.T. and the ability to bring the patient to the point of reaching “Beyond The moment”is the secret in allowing the individule to achieve full recovery…… Gee sounds like Larry will do extremely well with his new “Patients” who suffer from G.A.S….

Best to you Larry……By the way I loved your taking notes. Richard and Tad have never led me astray….They have influenced me to spend a great deal of money……but “No Price On A Good Time”.

Looks like a very good addition to the family of SCGC dealers. It appears that Larry and his staff are very into their business. I have noticed his postings on “That Other” forum.

                                  I wish him the best.

But just an observation from a “retired” Old Fart. I read through his entire page of policy and Disclaimers and was truly flumoxed……. What the modern business person has to do to protect themselves from Preditory lawyers, Government bureaucrats , both local and national , internet scammers , and other assorted miscreants is beyond belief. And, I imagine that doing business in California with it’s regulations and taxes just compounds the problem of making a profit.

It takes a brave person to open a new business now days……This is not me being critical of anybody or place……just an observation.
