Hi Larry:
Sorry I wasn’t able to attend the grand opening, but I’m happy to hear it went well, and I’ll look forward to your next event.

September 26, 2022 at 12:40 am in reply to: Santa Cruz Coffee Break #51 Zoomin’ with Charmed Life Picks #7742I did enjoy the behind the scenes look. During your discussion of the vespel material with Scott, I was hoping you would ask him how he was able to get around the patent held by Blue Chip, and still be able to market his line of vespel picks. I often wondered about this. Do you happen to know?

October 15, 2020 at 2:09 am in reply to: Santa Cruz Coffee Break #15 Zoomin’ with Catfish Keith #4863I had the pleasure of meeting Catfish at the last NAMM show, but I was not familiar with his music. Thanks for doing this interview. He is a very humble, down to earth person, and a monster player!
Nice interview, Richard and Tad. It’s good to hear about up and coming artist.
Done. Thanks for letting us know.
In the past I had asked Richard if he would consider building guitars with EVO fret wire, and his answer was no. Has he changed his stance on this? Would he consider it as an option now that SCGC has become a custom shop?

What an honor to use my sound clip for this episode! With all the great players on this forum, I feel truly humbled that mine would be selected. Another great interview. Thanks.

Hi Matt: I’m getting the Waverly nickel open tuners with ebony buttons.
Thanks Daniel. I like the vintage look of those Rubner tuners but I decided to stick with ordering the Waverlys because of their long history and familiarity.
Thanks Bert for the tip on Schallers and Gotohs. I asked the person who is building my resonator guitar about the Gotohs, and he couldn’t find the SXB510.
Thanks to both for your opinions on the need to lubricate or not. Since there was a slight difference of opinion, I gave the “Mother Ship” a call. Carolyn said that they recommend using Tri-Flow oil, but only when the gears feel a little hard to turn.
Hi Paul:
I didn’t realize that the old website had inventory held by SCGC dealers. Thanks for correcting me. I guess the only way to find out is by contacting the dealers.

Look again, its there. On the left hand side of the home page, fourth line from the top, titled “Just Shipped”.
