Richard has been using KOA since the beginning, it’s a fantastic wood, don’t look at any SCGC Koa guitars unless you have sunglasses on, they are special instruments. DigDog (AKA Chris) has some spectacular pieces.
Welcome Bluesman! I’m not a luthier but it looks like your saddle is very low, I’d have it looked at for sure.

Welcome to the forum. I did not realize that you were the author of this book, I hope you can understand my thinking that welcoming the devil was unusual. It’s a great forum name, but was not aware of your book. Again, please accept my apology, it just seemed funny to me in a weird sort of way. All the best. Didn’t mean to offend in anyway. I found the question on AGF to be troll/click bait for an argument with no real answer. We will try to get an answer for you asap.

Tad and I just finished Podcast #19 with Richard. We’ll try to get that question into the next time we speak to him. As you will hear in the Podcast, it’s very busy times at SCGC and he is pulled in many new directions and he wishes he could be more involved in Q&A. We will ask next month when we speak again.
Cheap but accurate shot Bert! Except if it’s anything like the USPS, it will get to Scotland, then go back to Germany, then Scotland, then Germany, then they will figure it out.
Danny I bought a 1952 Gibson Cf-100 in July and USPS (Priority $140.00) let it sit in a warehouse in Lexington Ky (8 days over 100) for 2 weeks. My guitar is fine now…take heart
Hey…think of it this way, if you got it it would have to sit in the box for 48 hours to adjust, it would be way worse looking at the box with the guitar inside, ask Lisa Liu, she wrote a song about it…….you and you’re guitar will be fine
