It doesn’t get any better than SCGC ——— in all aspects!

During the cold months of December, January, February and March I keep one (guitar) room humidified to 42%RH, while the rest of the house hovers around 35%. The house is new and I built it airtight & energy efficient, so I don’t have the RH challenge I have had with some of my “vintage” homes. The RH in the entire house is controlled during the summer months at 50%RH. Hank, I agree, my guitars sound better during the drier winter months. I find that guitars at >50% seem to lose something, but it’s always fun.

It’s the perpetual question many of us get (mostly) from non-players. I usually answer with something like, it makes me happy. I have 10 or so guitars in my collection and the thing is, the longer I play and buy, the harder it is to sell. Over time some really great guitars have found their way into my home and I think — why would I want to sell this one. So the pressure seems to be on an expanding lot.  My wife and I like to see smiles, so all is well here too.

I’m glad to hear that. At least you had a small distraction. I hope you are doing well.

Fantastic story and what a beautiful OMG. Every time (like this morning) I play my 3-year old Euro/Cocobolo OMG, I’m reminded of just how good that guitar is. I don’t play the “best guitar ever” game because there are just too many fantastic guitars. However, I can say there is no better guitar then my SCGC OMG, and I’m sticking to that. Yours is probably another example of perfection. Beautiful!

Man, that is something to behold! Lucky boy. I have to ask you Tad, why do you need more than 1 guitar?

Always interesting, thanks guys. I feel fortunate and proud to be part of the SCGC family. Special guitars built by special people. I agree with Tad: give me a great guitar. Period. The provenance for me is SCGC. The last 2 custom orders, my Euro/Coco OMG and Euro/Mahogany H13, are heirloom pieces. Thanks go to Richard, Carolyn and the rest of the team who listen so carefully & patiently to our requests. Delivery of my next Euro/Coco OM is expected to be 4/2022. But I realize we are living in challenging times.

That’s a beauty. I’ve owned two H-13 guitars. I sold my 1st one a few years ago, but I received a custom order with a few tweaks a couple of months ago and it’s simply perfect. I hope you enjoy your guitar for a long time. SCGC builds great guitars.

Nice. Carolyn and Richard are thoughtful and listen very well. I expect you’ll have a beauty. Now ——— the wait, but you’re used to that.

I don’t know what to make of that. But, Brazilian gets credit for just about everything, so why not?
