<p style=”text-align: left;”>Morro Bay for Darie’s Birthday started off windy and cold. It warmed up nicely today when we returned home.</p>
I’ve got two bands going.Heading up to Svea’s tomorrow for a few days.
Brian Corney, formerly of SCGC, may take a look at my Dread. As I age, my left hand is telling me I need a thinner neck. Brian will let me know what he thinks.
I bought a 12 string brass Shubb capo at NAMM in January. 25% discount.
The wedding was wonderful.
Addie walked in with Here Comes the Sun and out with La Vie en Rose.
She and Troy were blissfully happy.
I have been spending the majority of my time creating Freshwater Surf Music for my electric trio. I broke the high E string on my OM in August and didn’t put on a new set of Elixir Light until I got the wedding request.
Getting back to my acoustic has been wonderful. I’ve been playing my Strat, Tele, Jazzmaster, SG, PRS into a Deluxe Reverb.
I’m now thinking about putting a pickup in the Brazilian/Adirondack OM for the trio to get a more Hot Tuna sound.
Granddaughter’s wedding the 14th.
I decided to finally learn Here Comes the Sun, Imagine, and LA Vie en Rose.
2 ez and one not so.
I have plenty of other tunes in my rust bucket.
It is Joseph.
He was fast with a chisel.
I met his brother, Artie, at a Taylor Guutar night here in Bakersfield.
He was the sweetest, kindest guitarist I ever had the pleasure to talk with.I’ve been reading that Happy was cut from the same cloth.
The Folk Scare is sadly receding into the Sunset.
Richard tried to get me interested in the H model back in ’82.
He was unsuccessful.
Howdy Mike.
Tell us about your Cruz.
Cheers,
Matt Sarad, proud Cruz owner and player since 1982
Greetings Gary.
Tell is about you, your guitar, and the music you play.
Cheers,
Matt

It was as noisy as ever. SCGC right next to Collings, which was next to Lowden. Huss and Dalton around the corner.
Dana Bourgeois was manning his exhibit.
Larrivee about 50 feet away.
Kevin Ryan had a dozen guitars, all sold, topping out at $40,000.
Martin was the largest by far.
Gibson was absent.
Countless guitars from Asia, many copying the Somogyi modified Dread and OMC Cutaway.
I saw Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour, Don Alder, and a Bakersfield raised keyboard player, Dennis Hamm, on a tour break
He backs up ThunderCat.
I met so many players from the US, Canada, and Europe, missing so many others. I made connections with builders of electrics, pickups, and discovered great deals at discounts.
I’ll definitely return again and again.

I was lucky to play Brozman #1 when Bob handed me his at a residential seminar at his house. I loved it, but had no need for a baritone guitar.
I also happened to be at the old SCGC shop on Ingalls the day Bob picked up his #1. He drove his ’49 Caddy Convertible to get it.
