It does appear that our guitars will be delayed a couple of months. But I promise you, it will be worth the wait.

2012 Martin 00028VS rosewood/Sitka spruceThat sounds like a very interesting guitar. I’ll be anxious to see it and hear how you like it. Hate to tell you this, but as your first Santa Cruz guitar…it likely won’t be your last!

2012 Martin 00028VS rosewood/Sitka spruceI have a mahogany/European spruce 000 and like it a lot. I ordered it that way as I already had a Martin 00028VS in rosewood. You can see it on the just shipped section of the Santa Cruz website….got it a couple of months ago. The Martin is heavier, has a more robust sound, and is older so more played in. I like it, but the Santa Cruz is much nicer. Lighter, sweeter tone, better for vocals.

2012 Martin 00028VS rosewood/Sitka spruceGonna be awhile before I see it at this point. Santa Cruz is shut down for the foreseeable future. Thankfully I have my SC H13 and 000 to get me through these crazy days.

2012 Martin 00028VS rosewood/Sitka spruceThank you! I have popped in on occasion to this site and enjoy it. And, of course, Santa Cruz guitars far outnumber my others, which are mostly Martins.

2012 Martin 00028VS rosewood/Sitka spruceI have owned 4, sold two of them, and have one on order.

2012 Martin 00028VS rosewood/Sitka spruceI have a rosewood/adi H13 that I ordered with a wider nut and bridge spacing. I love the robust tone and prominent bass…not bad for a smaller body guitar. I play primarily finger style but some strumming…does both very well. It also plays well tuned down. Overall, a beautiful, multipurpose guitar built in the usual Santa Cruz perfection.

2012 Martin 00028VS rosewood/Sitka spruceBought my first one a few months ago, an OM/PW. Traded in a nice Martin OM28 because the SC was noticeable tonally superior and just a beautiful guitar to play (nothing against Martin, I have others and like them very much). Like it so much I just ordered a new 1929 OO with a 1 13/16 nut, due to be delivered in early March. Have owned Martins, Taylors, and a Yamaha over the years but have never taken the plunge for a high end instrument. Tried out several, including Beorgoise, Collings, and an older Gurian, which was built in the town I live. The SC spoke to me in a way the others didn’t. Hard to explain…but if you’re on this forum, you know.
