That’s similar to what I’ve done but seems more precise. I’ll order a punch and give a shot. Thanks.
Thanks for that. I have the cinch strap doodad. It works but seems kind of clunky. I’m experimenting with a hole (and slit) just big enough to force onto the endpin. It used to be so easy.
Thanks for all of your comments. I finally decided to try a Dazzo pickup system. Hopefully it turns out well.
Luthier says sometimes bridges lift for no apparent reason and the instrument in general is in great shape. He will remove the bridge and completely reglue it.
Funny!
Hey thanks a lot. I look forward to it.
I’m very interested but not sure how to message you.
I’ve been working my way through an adult piano method, not that anyone would want to listen. It’s good exercise for my aging hands. It seems complementary to guitar playing in a physical way, without being exactly the same. It’s therapeutic for me on a couple different levels. Only problem is…time spent doing one takes away time doing the other.
Thanks for the replies. Makes good sense. I’m enjoying playing the Gibson (it’s like having an old friend return) and I’m keeping a close eye on it. I do recognize telltale signs of an instrument drying out. I’ve been thinking as I get older that I have too many instruments. When you don’t play them all on a regular basis they’re harder to take care of.
Three and I still have them.
Ompw, trp, oo.Mike here. I have missed the forum and it’s great to have it back. Three SCGCs here:
