      Hey Hank,

Thanks for welcoming me. I’m always a bit cautious joining groups like this because, well… you probably know how “self confident” people react to each other in the internet. I was in a coffee / barista forum once which turned out to be a hornets’ nest when I said I used a magnifying glass to evaluate grinding consistency. Left me with a case of digital PTSS!

I  found a nicely priced new-old-stock Firefly last year at a dealer here in The Netherlands that was to my perception the best player in his SG-assortment. Among my other guitars (high end Guild, Martin, Waterloo) it is sound-wise the biggest while dreadnoughts were my first choice when playing out unamplified. Came here while scanning the net for info on what wrench to use for adjusting the truss-rod. Always very rewarding to fine tune the setup after acclimatizing for some months.

Okay, back to the subject and adding to it: together with the Acoustilok accessory in my eyes it makes a really nifty “system” when you use a Richter guitar strap cable holder on the strap and cable. To me a good looking guitar should not be compromized with cheap looking accessories, carelessly assembled straps or even stick-on pickholders.

        Hi all,

Just stumbled on this SCG-forum and it looks like a decent place so…

I tried them all and have a few of this D’Addarios laying around. They work, but I don’t really trust them on the guitar’s lacquer (a felt ring underneath helps) and the strap is attached  with a string and that looks strange.

On some guitars I now have the MusicNomad AcoustiLok https://www.musicnomadcare.com/Products/Acousti-Lok-Standard-Jacks/ Works nicely with some drawbacks like weight maybe but 100% reversible. Price is high but hey…
