since I have been playing in two electric bands, my practice days are mostly spent on the Tele, Strat, SG, and PRS.
I pulled out Old 97 and gave it a spin in DADGAD for an hour.
Immensely satisfying.

You and Dig should get together with those 2 guitars, I’d run a camera on that one

Coincidence ??…….or Great Minds Think Alike ??
Yesterday I tuned the “Tree” OM to DADGAD…….Wonderful couple of hours. I usually keep the Martin in alternate tuning but this time I wanted to try the OM …..The sound of the OM made me smell and feel “The Olde Sod”. That wood was created by Nature for DADGAD and Celtic music.
Several years ago Matt Hayden sent me a DADGAD book. Whenever I feel like I’m in a rut with my playing I open up that book and learn something new….Thanks Matt.-

Glad you liked the book – it is a really good collection of tunes, isn’t it?
i would like to try the tree OM sometime. It’s probably both beautiful sounding and beautiful to see.
Tune the G down to F# and make a slide out of a wine bottle and that’s the next frontier!

If you’ll pay the shipping(both ways), I have it insured. I’ll send it to you for a month or so…..But NO SLIDE.
Or….just come to the Sunshine state for a visit…..but still NO SLIDE -
