As George Castanza said “The Sea Was Angry That Day My Friends”……Hope Y’all stay safe in Santa Cruz and Monterey
Maybe another large old Redwood will show up.

What has it been like on the keys Hank?
Here in northern Europe it has been warm, wet, and windy since early November. My weather app hasn’t stopped saying “flood warning in effect through ___day 11:59pm” for at least a month.
The channel tunnel used by the Eurostar flooded.
I haven’t actually seen more than an hour of sun in a looong time.
We’re supposed to get cold weather this weekend, and some snow with a few clear days afterward would be nice. But I am not holding my breath.
🙂

Daniel… It’s a typical El Nino weather pattern for S.W. Fl..
Our Rainey Season wasn’t….Very dry. June thru Oct. 24 inch deficent fron “normal”
Nov. was warm & very dry . Dec. has been wet and , for us, cool……But the “Snowbirds” are really hating the cloudiness. It’s been unusually overcast.
I have lived on the Gulf Coast of Florida for over 40 years and have been visiting this area all my life.
El Ninos have happened before and will happen again…..and so will Hurricanes…LOL
Daniel, I used to live where sunshine was rare…….My old bones need lots of Sun.
Fair Winds,
Hank

Hank,
I’m starting, at the age of 58, to understand why there are snowbirds. 😉
It’s -2C (about 28F) here tonight with a lot of wind and a few snow flurries. Finally getting cold, but it won’t last long.
Fair winds,
Daniel

Update: We had something approximating real snowfall!
The missus and I went walking in it to help rehab her new hip joint (PT’s orders). It was lovely, and now it’s gone. It’s days like this that remind me how much I miss actual winter weather.

Pleasantly chilly here in Phoenix/Scottsdale Arizona. I love this time of year as I can spend hours every day working on the yard and garden in short sleeves.
Not bragging though as I’ll be holed up in the summer while folks in other states are out enjoying the weather.
