Reflecting on the legacy of another musical icon who has crossed to the other side. The “Croz”. Hoping he was able to make peace with his mates. What an incredible harmonic voice he added to so many musical collaborations.

        Peace, Walter

A great loss. Seeing him play “Guinevere” at the 2016 Fretboard Summit reminded me of his raw talent….

Hard to state how important Crosby, Stills, and Nash are to me.  For me Crosby was the least accessible of the three.  My favourite songs were more often written by Stills and Nash, and Crosby’s voice blended so well with the others.

But listening closely was such a rewarding experience.  He taught me the value of active listening and the value of singing to support the melody.  An enormous lesson.

Yes he was a big influence on my life. My favorite album was — If I Could Only Remember My Name. It speaks to me and I still listen to it frequently. A complicated life to live, I suppose.
