How long?

How long does it tend to take Santa Cruz to reply to sales emails?  Last time i waited two months and then called with a question about tuners.  (My 1929-00 really does need new tuners.)  This time I sent an email on the August 4th.  No response 11 days later.  Not even an autoreply saying they’ll get back to me.  I love their instruments, but this is getting ridiculous.

I reached out yesterday via the Bat phone, The shop is crazy busy with work for Fretboard Summit this weekend, Brenda (who is on vacation this week) said she’d look into it on Monday. If it’s an easy question maybe the collective hive here can answer

LOL  No thanks.  Bad enough here.  Sad thing is, I have to go back with more paperwork, which means another month wait for another appointment.  (They do everything by appointment, then you sit and wait anyway.)

Just for an update, I did get ot speak to Brenda today.  With luck we can work out an instrument that will meet my needs.  🙂

So, it turns out they had a 00-Skye about ready to ship.  I worked with Larry at Organic Sounds and he got the instrument and sent me a sound sample.  I couldn’t resist, so went with it.  It just came out of it’s box and is beautiful.  If you’re looking for a Santa Cruz (or most any other nice instrument), give Larry a call.  He’s wonderful to work with.

And thanks to Brenda who worked with me as well.  I can’t recommend enough talking to her if there is something specific you’re looking for.  She’s fantastic.

Well, I still haven’t been able to get my own p[ics, but Larry has some nice ones up and a video of the guitar.  I can’t recommend talking to Larry enough if you want an instrument.  Super helpful and friendly.
