Comparison Video: 00-DE “Cowboy Singer”, 00-Skye, HT-13

Hi friends.  Last week I published a video where I compared three smaller bodied Santa Cruz “signature” models that I have here in the shop.  Thought that maybe it might of some interest to all of the Santa Cruz guitar fans here (I count myself as one of their biggest fans!).

00-DE “The Cowboy Singer”  (Don Edwards signature model)

00-Skye (Eric Skye’s signature model)

HT-13 (Happy Traum’s signature model)

All are fantastic guitars, but sound very different from each other (as expected:  different woods, different designs…)

beautifully done – all aspects – mic-ing, playing, shooting.  although i could hear slight differences, i couldn’t pick one as preferred. but i was MUCH more interested in how they woud be presented. you did a beautiful job of demonstrating these instruments. very few demos, even by some of the better shops, often don’t record in a tasteful manner to my ear… so i can really get a sense of the instrument.  just a great job, Larry, thank!
