When I got my Cruz Missile, I was playing in dropped D and Open D.

After hearing Richard Thompson play Banish Misfortune,I discovered DADGAD.

Alex DeGrassi gave DADEAD  and I started to get creative with other tunings. DADGCD and CGDGAD work well.

I like double dropped D for Zep’s Going to California and Bitter Creek by Bernie Leadon (Eagles).

But that article is brilliant.  It’s the kind of journalism that has disappeared because of the internet.

Thanks DigDog and Big Mon……..You’ve just given me a bit of the map of the Rabbit Hole of Alt. tunings……this will demand more Irish Whiskey to fathom .
