        Hi guys,

I’m working on a musical project that will need an injection of funds, and I’m really not playing guitar anymore.  In fact, I’m a little worried my SCGC will simply implode at some point unless it actually gets played.

I’ll be making a trip to Guitar Village in Domont, France, north of Paris, next Saturday with the idea of either selling it outright, trading it for gear, or consigning it.

Trouble is I’m not sure what to ask for it.
Let’s say it’s in very good condition.
Bought from Steve Swan in 2002, new.  I think it was $2250.
Honduran b & s, ebony fretboard, Brazilian headstock overlay, Adirondack spruce top.
Modeled on the specs of a 1942 Martin D-18.

        Can anyone help?

        Thanks!

        Daniel

          Hey Daniel,

Check the used prices; I suspect you are undervaluing this instrument. I’d say 3K was a fire sale, and 3500. would be more in line with this.   Good luck, I hope your healing in continuing.

            Hi Rich,

Thank you.  So I got it out this morning to go over it and take it to a local guy for a setup.

It doesn’t really need a setup, and I won’t be selling it yet.  Damn, it sounds good even with strings that are years old.

I’ve got a RainSong OM-1000 and a Mix F5 to sell before I let go of the SCGC.

            🙂

Such a good decision maker you are. I’m really happy to hear this!
