Bridge and fingerboard woods on 00 1929

        Given that the woods on the guitars this model appears to want to resemble, the bridge and fingerboard woods would have been rosewood.  Back when the originals were made, that would have been Brazilian RW.  But the 00 1029 uses ebony.  Is this because of the cost of suitable rosewood, or is the ebony considered superior tonally?
