Learned something

I called SCGC yesterday to inquire which Tension strings were standard on the FTC model.

I spoke with Brenda, a very enjoyable lady by the way, and she indicated that the Mid-tensions were what they shipped as standard on that guitar.

As most of you know I keep that guitar , Granadillo/Redwood , in Open G tuning. I was going to order some mid-tensions but Brenda knew that I had several DADGAD sets and suggested I use those on the FTC.

She told me that the DADGAD sets were designed to be used in most Alt. tunings….going to restring today while watching the Masters….. Anyone else used the DADGAD set for Alt. tunings?
