I am looking for a very high quality gig bag for an H13 guitar. With its small but deep body and I am finding it tough to find a good fit. Can someone recommend a specific model that fits this guitar without having to get a larger dreadnaught sized bag? Most smaller body sized gig bags from your better makers (Mono, Reunion Blues, etc) cannot accommodate the deep (5 1/4″ with bridge) body design. I am hoping someone out there has some actual experience with a bag that fits this guitar. I love the standard HSC case but playing locally I have always used a super sturdy high end gig bag for convenience and I have found your high end gig bags can offer really good protection. Not interested in lower quality bags so please let me know of only a really excellent quality brand (again, a specific model that fits the H13 well). Thank you in advance for your input.

          Hi James,

I’m kind of a gig bag freak. I’d look on eBay for a Levi’s Leather bag or an older Gibson bag, should be 2-300 for something nice that fits but I’ve made some great scores there, like an original Sam Ash leather bag for 20 bucks….keep looking, let’s hope others chime in

            Hey James,

Just heard from Will at SCGC, he had a Blue Herron, maybe they have one

I followed up on the Blue Heron recommendation and ended up ordering one of their gigs bags (they call them “Soft Cases”). It turns out that their CL / Classical / 00-18 case is a good fit for the H13 except for the depth. They are making one for me with an extra one inch of depth (5″) at no extra charge for the additional work. Pretty cool. Since I am on the west coast I am also getting a break on their usual  shipping charge. Quick turnaround of two to three weeks. Really nice people to deal with and it is always a good feeling buying from a small business and getting something handmade in the USA. I will post my review in the forum when it arrives. It would still be interesting if anyone else out that wants to share their H13 gig bag experiences so post away.

                James,

Great news, while SCGC does not endorse Blue Heron, they have made some wonderful products for its customers. Please let us know how that turns out.
