        Greetings Forum,

If you have ever wondered why some picks cost so much money, spend a little time with Scott Memmer, owner of Charmed Life picks and let him tell you. Scott has been an acoustic tone chaser since 1976, here’s his web site

Hope you all enjoy this behind the scenes look at this process!

I did enjoy the behind the scenes look.  During your discussion of the vespel material with Scott, I was hoping you would ask him how he was able to get around the patent held by Blue Chip, and still be able to market his line of vespel picks. I often wondered about this.  Do you happen to know?

          Regards, Luke

            Hey Luke,

You should ask him, he said he was more than open to phone calls. I’m not sure on that, it’s not using a registered trade made, it’s making something out of a sheet, I’d be interested to know what you find out. The pick really did sound great until I left it at Gryphon.

            All the best

            Richard
