I have TR standard from 2000 and have always been curious to know how Santa Cruz characterizes the X-bracing.  I’ve not found any mention of brace location in the specs for this model so curious to know.  I measured from the edge of the sound hole to the intersection of the X to be about 1-3/8″. Taking into account the larger sound hole I’m guessing it would be about 1-1/2″ if compared to a Martin D-28 with standard bracing (neither forward or rear).   Does anyone know?

        Thanks

            NMPicker,

if you want to share the serial number, we’ll get the bracing masters on it and give you and answer

Word from Will is that it was a Standard braced TR. Which stimulates the thought of a podcast on Bracing with Richard, great suggestion, let’s see what we can do!

Thank you for researching my question.  I was thinking the answer might be standard bracing based on the measurement I made but good to have confirmation.  Follow on question, do most standard TRs use this brace location?

I will check out the podcast if you decide to do one on bracing.

That’s what I understood from Will, unless the order card showed some customers special request it would be the same as a standard TR
