Thanks all, it’s a pleasure to be here!

I’m certainly soaking up everything I can from Carolyn while she’s still here.

It’s a pleasure to work with such an incredible company, making the best instruments in the world. As I get my feet under me, I hope to be back on this forum more and more.

              Thanks everyone!

                  Hi all,

I was born in a small coastal town in Northern California. My father built the house I was born in and my parents ran a book business out of the back yard. My dad is an editor and publisher of books on many topics, but mostly about hand built homes.

                  http://www.shelterpub.com

At age 13 I found Led Zeppelin, Cream, Credence Clearwater Revival, Red Hot Chili Peppers,  and though I wanted to play drums like John Bonham, my dad gave me an acoustic guitar. I soon then transitioned to electric (a Les Paul copy) and started figuring out songs on the guitar by ear.

At 17 years old I bought my first drum set, and started playing seriously. I moved to Santa Cruz in 1997 and quickly found a Brazilian band and started playing with SambaDa full time, and booking the band. Once I had kids I stopped touring and started worked in a recording studio as a producer and engineer.

I started working for a professional audio company, Burl Audio for the last 12 years, running sales and marketing. When I started, we were a very obscure high end company, but now Burl is  known all over the world and used on Grammy and platinum records.

I produce my own music in my home studio, play occasional local gigs on guitar, bass, drums and percussion, and dream of getting my very own SCGC guitar in the future. Though I am not an expert in everything guitar, my love for craftsmanship, wood with a story, no compromise,  and music help me to feel right at home here at SCGC.

I’m very grateful for the opportunity to serve the many incredible SCGC players, and to help people find the instrument of their dreams.

Thanks for posting that Will. It’s nice having a peek into your journey. I’m scratching my head a little about your dad because that was very much part of my professional world (now retired) and wonder if I’ve crossed paths with Lloyd over the years. I hope you are getting settled and I look forward to exchanging ideas and experiences.

Bolinas. I’ve logged many hours there 20 years ago.
