Dee and I went out tonight (yes, it’s past my bedtime) to support the band of a friend of ours. He is A GREAT Harp player and he really is a great showman.
The Mate who plays lead guitar taught music at a Midwestern university and majored in Trumpet. He retired and spends 6 months here in S.W. Fl. and 6 months in Western N.Y.. He owns a small 2 person music store and rents/services instruments to the local Jr. & Sr. high schools in his town.
He plays in 2 bands …here and N.Y..
During a break we started talking guitars and the conversation came round to how playing an Acoustic instrument is a totally different animal than an Electric.
He made a great comparison . He said, ” It is the difference between a Clarinet and a Flute”.
I thought that was good.
