        Greetings Forum,

We had the opportunity to talk to Richard yesterday and ask him what he looks for and values in new employees. We found out that a “Teachable Heart” is the number 1 thing Richard looks for. And a call out, if your looking for work in the guitar world, there is an email at the end of the podcast, hope you enjoy this one, it’s really GREAT!

I would like to apologize that I had to leave in the middle, all good, Tad took over and ran the show. Thanks to Tad and Richard for this one!

After watching this podcast I wanted to post a couple of images that exemplify the comments that RH talks about when considering what he looks for in new employees.

I received the B-day “Card” and the left over African Blackwood pieces as a birthday gift along with lots of other SCGC gear from Carolyn.

I am a average player who has only a small ramuda of SC guitars…. but Richard Hoover and Carolyn and all the artists at SCGC have treated me like I was Guitar Royalty.

It says a lot about the SC Guitar family that they would go the extra mile to put a smile on an old mans face and create instruments that will be enjoyed by that Old Man’s Family for generations to come and will have such personal expressions from the artists who created such hierlooms.

Maestro Hoover , Carolyn Sills and ALL of the SCGC family……Thank You.

Like Tad stated if I were a much younger man I’dbe sleeping in my VW van and ready to roar each morning to work withRichard and his crew of craftsmen. Team work and a open heart to learning.

Thanks for another enjoyable session with the Maestro RH.

If I were 20 years younger I’d be at SCGC learning how to shave braces on tops instead of shaving faces at the barber shop!
