  Just a note. This guitar was designed from the start to live in DADGAD tuning.
  I will be stringing with SCGC DADGAD Lites upon it’s arrival.

  It’s in the Corral and being introduced to the Ramuda. I’ve saddled it in DADGAD…..to my ear it was born for that tuning.
  
  I don’t know the age of the woods but if it sounds like this now I am not worring about any “opening” up……
  
  And did I say it is F-ing BEAUTIFUL !!!!!

  The demo that Matt did of the guitar was so impressive. The note clarity is as good as they come or better. You’ve got the Guitar of the Year Award in my book.

  I have NEVER heard a guitar voice like this one.
  
  I own and play some pretty fine instruments (not to the level they deserve by any means) but I have been racking my brain to describe the sound of this 000. I have tuned it in DADGAD and have been playing several DADGAD progressions and “Chord Scales” in D, Middle D, G , Dm , etc.
  
  While I was waitng today for a “Special Assignment”, that did not take place, I thought of a phrase that is pretty damn close to the sound of this guitar….. “It rings like the Bells Of St Marys on a cold clear Christmas morning”
  
  Maybe over the top….but that’s what it sounds like.
  
  By the way… I do not normally name guitars. But, this one being Black on the bottom and sides and creamy white on top…..I have named it Guinness.

  Something magical happens when you combine African blackwood and DADGAD! Add Santa Cruz guitars into the mix and you’re on to something really special I’m sure. Such a beautiful guitar and naturally, I LOVE the name!

  I am really happy that this has exceeded your expectations – and your aesthetic choices worked out really well. I know this was a very special birthday gift to yourself, and its working out so well is fantastic. But remember, you have some other great guitars that’ll need a little attention too!
