This would be the theme song……..If only I could tell Y’all the experiences in my life that this song resonates in my soul.

Those first two albums are as sacred to me as new testament bible books are to a Southern Baptist evangelical preacher.

Daniel, I agree 100%……Maybe the best 1&2 albums ever released by a musical group…..Certainly of the “Folk Rock” era.  I wore them out. They set the rhythm of my life for 69 thru the mid 70s.

Then I took my wife Dee to a CSN&Y concert in St. Petersburg , Florida on our first date in 86… She had never heard them. That’s a whole nother story.

Then when we moved aboard our sailboat for 5 years and in addition to every Buffet CD I bought the reissued CD of CSN&Y. Played “Southern Cross” while consumeing lots of Down Island rum .

Those first 2 CSNY albums, along with Bridge over troubled water, were the very first albums I ever had – along with my first Radio Shack stereo phonograph ( which replaced the – ready for it – gramophone I had that had come from my grandmothers house ), for maybe my 13th birthday? I can’t help but feel something very special whenever I hear them. It’s one of those life-moments that gets burned indelibly into your brain, that first setting of a real needle onto a 33-1/3 rpm record, and to hear those chords ring out.  The leap from Alexanders Ragtime Band to Carry On was never to be undone.
