I received the pick (the C-60 model) a couple of days ago, and I really like it for both guitar and mandolin. It sounds brighter and louder than my Blue Chip TAD -50. They are having a Black Friday sale until Dec. 1, so I’m going to stock up on them.
Really interesting podcast. The Tokens have been getting a lot of press lately so I was curious how it compares to Blue Chip picks. After listening to it, I ordered the Amber pick with the 2 rounded corners because I am playing mandolin primarily these days. I hope that they come out with a 40 thickness model which is my preferred thickness.
I like the throwback (or is it rollback?) prices too. The ‘50’ designation on the heel cap is cool looking. Very attractive indeed.
I just listened to the podcast out of curiosity because I was not aware of who Ciosi was. I’m glad I did. Ciosi sounds like a fun person to hang out with. Good job guys.
Hope it’s not too late to ask my question. During the previous podcast with Richard he mentioned that the guitar industry was facing challenges in terms of sales, including SCGC. Can he provide an update on the situation? I’m hoping things have returned to normal.
I just listened to this podcast. It’s always great to hear what Richard H. has to say. Agree that it was very informative. It surprised me when he said the guitar industry is currently experiencing a downturn. Let’s hope their fortunes get better in the new year.

Just listened to the podcast. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to John’s stories. He’s been through a lot, and he has a very healthy perspective on life.

I had been going for many years, courtesy of Mr. Hoover. Thank you, Richard! It was always the highlight of the year for me to see the new products, meet like minded people, bump into a celebrity or two, and attend free performances . But lately, post covid, the NAMM has been a bit of a disappointment. It is a much watered down event compared to pre-covid days, far fewer vendors and smaller crowds. I don’t know why. Perhaps it is due to vendors realizing they could be just as effective selling their merchandise on Zoom rather than having in-person meetings? Or could it be due to belt-tightening on their part? Anyway, this coming year, I have chosen not to attend.
