Hey Mates a question . Our “Music room/office is being dominated by a large 1000 watt SoundPure powered speaker that Dee has pemanetly set up for her practice/rehearsal …which is most every day. It is on a stand and is kept head high and faces the living room. So….when she sings ,even with the speaker at low volume , it pretty much means I have to go outside.

Can any one suggest a “Small” rehearsal monitor that can sit on the floor ? and be less obtrusive ?

Or maybe some nice ear plugs?

I think earplugs might send the wrong signal……after all she does not plug her ears when I practice on the guitars.

I use a Roland CM30 in those situations.  I mount one on a mic stand.
It can handle multiple inputs and is discrete.

                🙂

A small FBT 2A powered speaker is 300 W and relatively inexpensive on the used market.

They sounds great – very warm – and she can plug her mixer into it.

Thanks Indexless….this unit worked out well. Both for Dee’s rehearsal monitor and it also has introduced me to “plugged in ” where I can hear both my voice ,although I’m not sure yet that is a good thing, and the sound of the guitar coming at me…..Changes the perspective quite a bit .

Daniel, we also mounted this on a Mic stand

Excellent sound from so small a unit.
