Up for sale is the first and only ALL TREE Santa Cruz 1929/OO which was completed in 2014 and customized with “The Tree” Mahogany top/back/sides, Adirondack bracing with hot hide glue, backlit tortoise body/peghead/fingerboard binding, backlit tortoise overlay and gold Waverly tuners with Snakewood knobs. All other specs are standard to the 1929/OO. Includes original Ameritage hard case. Asking $19,500

This unique high/exhibition grade large quilted tortoise-shell is mesmerizing and nearly impossible to find. Most “The Tree” sets are a sausage linear pattern.

To build a new one from SCGC you are looking at $22-23k and very long wait and your probably not going to find a nicer near perfect bookmatched back.

Being the 1st ALL TREE guitar made by SCGC, it will only increase in value.

Now for the bad news. It has a tiny hairline crack (barely catches on fingernail) on the bottom from where it was shipped and apparently dropped. Based on the images sent to SCGC it is estimated to cost $300 to repair but their repairs are backed up until mid-late April with a 4-6 week cure period. Carolyn is holding my place in line to begin the repair ASAP which will return the guitar into new condition. It also has a superficial scratch that can only be seen when the light hits it right on the side and a scratch under the knobs from tuning.

A big thanks to Tim and Jack at the Drum & Strum in Warrenton VA (ww.drumnstrum.com). Enjoyed spending the morning with the team there. A great group of guys and if you are in the area and need anything, I highly recommend paying them a visit.

This is truly one of a kind and has a thread associated with it from when it was built. http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/…d.php?t=336411
