I love the tone of the guitar and your voice.  I have to say that I am pretty ignorant when it comes to recording/electronic stuff.  Most of my time playing guitar is in my basement by myself or at open mic with someone else's PA.  You mentioned the mic you are using in an earlier post.  What else do you use to record as far as software and hardware?  I would like to learn more and do a little recording.  Perhaps I should start a new topic but this seems like a good place to start since I liked your recording so much.

Hi Johcun,

I am using Cubase 5 and have invested in a couple of nice preamps and microphones in the quest of getting a natural sound "on tape."  If you are using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstatio) like Cubase or Protools or any number of other options, the front end (preamps and microphones) is where you want to put your money.  That and a good quality interface to your computer.  There are some inexpensive options out there that already include very nice preamps.  And then there are the "plug-ins".  I don't know if it's right to talk about specific products on the forum but if you're interested in my thoughts and more specifics, just PM me.  I'd be happy to answer any questions.

Don't know if you saw it but I recently posted a microphone shoot out called "Microphone Experiments".  Mics make a difference.

Fair warning.  I love recording and am pretty much of a geek about it.  But I'm no expert.  Still so much to learn.    That;'s what makes it fun.

Thanks for that... It was truly great!  You have no need to apologize.  That VS is one sweet sounding guitar too.
